Back Cooperating against cybercrime in India

New Delhi, India ,

“Cyber 3.0 – Bridging People, Process and Technology” was the theme of today’s 9th Annual Summit on Cyber & Network Security organised by ASSOCHAM with the support of the Council of Europe in New Delhi. Kiran RIJIJU, India’s Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, stated that the government was serious about curbing rising cybercrime. The Council of Europe pointed out that the concerns of the Indian authorities regarding access to electronic evidence in the context of cloud computing and related questions of jurisdiction are also in the focus of the Cybercrime Convention Committee and that India should consider joining efforts underway within the framework of the Budapest Convention.

The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Council of Europe have been cooperating since 2007 in the organisation of such summits.
