Back Cybercrime@EAP 2018: Steering Committee held on the sidelines of EuroDIG 2018

Tbilisi, Georgia ,

The Cybercrime@EAP project held its Steering Committee and planning workshop on 4 June 2018, as one of preparatory sessions during the European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EuroDIG 2018) in Tbilisi, Georgia. Project partners and the management team from the Cybercrime Programme Office of the Council of Europe discussed the progress by Cybercrime@EAP projects up to date; current gaps and challenges in project implementation; remaining project activities under in 2018 as well as preliminary ideas and concepts for extension of project beyond 2018.

The Cybercrime@EAP project also supported participation of country team members at EuroDIG 2018 on 5 and 6 June in Tbilisi, Georgia. The Annual Conference of the European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EuroDIG), hosted by the Ministry of Economic Development of Georgia, is a fitting and relevant context for engaging project participants and partners on the topics of data governance, privacy, jurisdiction and cooperation on security in cyberspace, to be discussed during the EuroDIG 2018. These are important elements for ensuring access to data and electronic evidence across borders, while the conference in itself is a forum for public-private cooperation and partnerships between the public sector and the Internet industry.
