The International Network of National Judicial Trainers: the first practitioners-to-practitioners’ workshop

On 24 February, the International Network of National Judicial Trainers gave the start of the series of practitioners-to-practitioners’ workshops, as part of the current efforts to enable judges and prosecutors to enhance their knowledge on cybercrime and electronic evidence through training, networking and specialization. The sessions are designed and delivered by national judicial trainers and empower the members of the Network to connect, share experience and remain up-to-date.

The first workshop featured two main themes of Challenges of electronic evidence and Digital Identity Theft, presented by judicial trainers from Costa Rica, Paraguay, the Dominican Republic and Tunisia. More than 65 participants from 18 countries (Algeria, Cape Verde, Chile, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ghana, Jordan, Lebanon, Moldova, Morocco, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Paraguay, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Tonga and Ukraine) attended the workshop.

The series will continue on 30 March with two session on: Cybercrime investigation and human rights safeguards and International Cooperation and Electronic Evidence.

The workshops are expected to take place monthly until July 2021. More information about the sessions can be accessed on the dedicated web page.
