The aim of the workshop was to open a dialogue between the Council of Europe and Jordanian authorities to share experience and best practices between criminal justice authorities on measures to address this challenge in an effective manner.

40 representatives from the Directory of Cyber Security and IT of Jordan Armed Forces, Ministry of Justice, Court of Cassation, Judicial Training Institute, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Information, Communication and Technologies, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Council of Europe experts from Canada, Estonia, Romania, Morocco and USA, and European Union Delegation took part in this workshop and discussed based on a series of case studies and the experience of other countries in the matter of cybercrime and electronic evidence.

Jordanian authorities confirmed their willingness to participate in CyberSouth project and expressed needs in terms of support on legislation and training. The commitment of Jordan in this project is in line with its position in favour of a national cyberdefense strategy as illustrated by the inauguration of Computer Emergency Response Team in 2017.
