CyberSouth: Open Source Intelligence Training in Tunisia

In the framework of the CyberSouth Project in cooperation with CT MENA Project, a Sister Pilot Course on Open Source Investigations (based on European Cybercrime Training and Education Group in partnership with University College of Dublin –original version of the course can be found here) was delivered to the law enforcement officers and magistrates from Middle East and North Africa Region. The training took place at the National Guard, in Tunis, Tunisia during 17-21 June 2019. The goal of the training was to provide the participants with competencies to perform online investigations on the internet with enhanced knowledge in the relevant technologies.

During the training, the participants had the opportunity to learn the practical knowledge on how to use numerous free online resources that can aid in cybercrime investigations (search engines, social media) and also how to use it as digital evidence.

The training was delivered to 20 law enforcement and magistrates from Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya and Jordan
