Under the framework of Cybersouth Project, on the 27 of May 2020, an online webinar was held for the benefit of Lebanese law enforcement authorities.

The activity was organized jointly with the Internal Security Forces in Lebanon and aimed at presenting the international standards on collection and handling of e-evidence as covered by Electronic Evidence Guide and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) developed by international experts under the framework of capacity building projects implemented by the Council of Europe.

This activity helped the authorities from Lebanon to structure their responses to cybercrime and e-evidence. The next steps will be the implementation of these standards in their training curricula and the development of internal procedure for dealing with e-evidence adapted to the national context, as foreseen by the workplan of CyberSouth project.
