Interpol 12th MENA (Middle east and North Africa) Working Group on Cybercrime for Heads of Units was held on 16-17 July 2019 in Amman, Jordan, with the support of CyberSouth project and Public Security Department of Jordan. The meeting aimed to review the implementation of last year recommendations, to share best practices and to encourage cooperation with private actors. Furthermore, the meeting focused on the assessment of the cybercrime threats identified as being relevant for MENA region.
CyberSouth project confirmed its support to the initiative on threat assessment and shared with participants the results achieved within the project since July 2017. The meeting was an opportunity for the Council of Europe through CyberSouth project to extend its offer to assist any country in the region on legislation related to cybercrime and electronic evidence to align it with existing international standards
