Back Regional Workshop on Cybercrime

[19 April 2010, Strasbourg] Taking into account the transnational dimension of cybercrime and thus the need for cooperation among countries, this regional workshop organised on 13 May within the framework of the European Union/Council of Europe Joint Project on Cybercrime in Georgia will aim at strengthening international cooperation in cybercrime investigations.

This regional workshop will gather representatives from Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Moldova, Poland, Romania and Ukraine as well as international experts and the private sector to share best practices and experiences in adopting a legislative framework in line with the Convention on Cybercrime (CETS 185) and in facing challenges related to cybercrime investigations.

Participants in the workshop should be professionally involved in matters related to cybercrime and represent preferably an institution dealing with cybercrime legislation, a law enforcement or prosecution service responsible for cybercrime investigations.

Interested persons should complete and send back as soon as possible and not later than 30 April a registration form to Ms Lucile Sengler at [email protected].
