Cybercrime

[13 May 2010, Tbilisi] Taking into account the transnational dimension of cybercrime, the Regional Workshop on Cybercrime was intended to focus on strengthening international cooperation in cybercrime investigations. Representatives and experts on cybercrime from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Estonia, Georgia, Italy, Moldova, The Netherlands, Norway, Romania, Spain, Turkey, Ukraine and United Kingdom as well as Interpol and the private sector participated in the event and shared best practices and experiences.

The workshop particularly focused on the:

• state and effectiveness of cybercrime legislation harmonised with international standards;
• strengthening of skills of law enforcement and criminal justice authorities regarding the investigation, prosecution and adjudication of cybercrime;
• cooperation between law enforcement and service providers in such investigations;
• enhancing international cooperation on cybercrime
