Cybercrime@EaP 2018: Technology of Network Investigations unveiled through ECTEG training

The Cybercrime@EaP 2018 project, for the first time in its duration, is partnering with the European Cybercrime Training and Education Group (ECTEG) for the delivery of the Course on Network Investigations for investigators, prosecutors and forensics experts from Armenia, Belarus and Moldova.

This 5-day intensive technical training is run on specifically designed infrastructure and software environment from 1 to 5 October 2018 in Yerevan, Armenia, by the team of ECTEG experts from Cyprus, Germany and Romania. Updated set of ECTEG materials related to all aspects of Network Investigations, including use of freeware tools, form the basis for the course, which seeks to improve and strengthen knowledge and skills of criminal justice officials from Armenia, Belarus and Moldova, involved in international cooperation matters, on the subject and practice of network investigations in criminal cases.

The European Cybercrime Training and Education Group (ECTEG) is an International Non-Profit Association composed of European Union and European Economic Area Member States law enforcement agencies, international bodies, academia, private industry and experts to deliver harmonised cybercrime training across international borders. ECTEG and Council of Europe signed an agreement in 2017, allowing the project run by the Cybercrime Programme Office access and use of ECTEG materials and its pool of experts for full range of ECTEG courses.
