Back Cybercrime@EaP 2018: Challenges of cybercrime and transborder investigations discussed at EuroDIG 2018

Representatives of the Cybercrime Programme Office of the Council of Europe (C-PROC) participated in the European Dialogue on Internet Governance (EurDIG) 2018 held in Tbilisi, Georgia from 5 to 6 June 2018.

Under iPROCEEDS and Cybercrime@EAP (2018) projects, prosecutors, cybercrime investigators and representatives of CERTs/CIRTs from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, “the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia”, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine took part in the event as well.

C-PROC has organised a dedicated flash session on 6 of June 2018 to discuss and share experience on cybercrime investigations across borders and transborder access to data, focusing on the latest developments and setting of standards in this area; public-private cooperation in cybercrime and electronic evidence, providing examples of issues and challenges of cooperation between law enforcement and Internet service providers and financial investigations and prosecutions related to cybercrime and proceeds from online crime, touching upon the "follow the money" concept.
