The Hansa: Board Meeting in Luxembourg

On 6 February, the Board Meeting of the Hansa, Cultural Route of the Council of Europe, was held  at Neumünster Abbey, Headquarters of the Secretariat of the  Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe (EPA) and the European Institute of Cultural Routes (EICR), in Luxembourg.

The Board meeting was attended by Mr. Jan LINDENAU, Mayor of Lübeck (Germany) and President of the Hansa, Mrs. Inger Harlevi, Representative of Visby (Sweden) and Vice-President of the Hansa, Mr. Bort KOELEWIJN, Mayor of Kampen (Netherlands), Dr. Mr. Christoph BARTSCH, Mayor of Brilon (Germany), Mrs. Olga POPOVA, Representative of Veliky Novgorod (Russia) and Mrs. Stefanie BISCHOF, Managing Director of the Hansabüro in Lübeck (Germany).

Mr. Stefano DOMINIONI, EPA Executive Secretary and EICR Director, and Mrs. Carolina CLARK, EICR Project Manager, had the opportunity to illustrate to the Hansa representatives the aims of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe Programme for 2020.

The Hansa, Cultural Route of the Council of Europe since 1991, is a network of cities which share the same democratic rights and core European values, thus representing an important means of peaceful and respectful co-existence in nowadays Europe.

The Hansa is one of the eight Cultural Routes undergoing regular 3-year evaluation in the framework of the 2019-2020 evaluation cycle.
