Participation of the Cultural Routes programme to the 1st France-Belarus working group on tourism

The Cultural Routes programme of the Council of Europe was invited to present at the 1st France-Belarus working group on tourism which took place on 16th January in Paris. It was co-organised by the French and Belarusian Ministries of Foreign Affairs at the Quai d'Orsay in the presence of Alfredas Jomantas (President, Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe), Stefano Dominioni (Executive Secretary, EPA on CoE Cultural Route), Claude Bloch and Assumpcio Hosta (European Route of Jewish Heritage – CoE Cultural Route) and Charles Bonaparte (Destination Napoleon – CoE Cultural Route).

The importance of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme was emphasized in the Protocol of Cooperation signed by the two representative of the Ministries, Stephen Marchisio (French Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and Anna Mukha (Belarusian Ministry of Sport and Tourism) when it said that “in order to study the experience in tourism field for both countries, the two parties commit themselves to share good practices regarding tourism development […], especially in the framework of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme”.
