On June 17, the Secretariat of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme held an online training for networks interested in applying for the certification "Cultural Route of the Council of Europe" in the framework of the 2021-2022 certification cycle.

The online training seminar provided an exhaustive overview of the main characteristics of the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe programme, serving as an essential reference for representatives of cultural routes willing to submit an application for certification. It addressed aspects concerning the Cultural Routes certification cycle, certification criteria, procedure, and requirements, to facilitate the preparation of the applications. It also served as an opportunity for the networks to clarify any doubts regarding the submission of their evaluation files.

The training seminar was delivered by Mr. Stefano DOMINIONI, EPA Executive Secretary and EICR Director and Ms. Carolina CLARK, EICR Project Manager. The online event was attended by more than 60 participants representing 17 cultural routes candidate networks.

Coordination with the EPA Secretariat and EICR regarding the application preparation will continue until the deadline for final submission of applications on July 31, 2021.
