Georgia: the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe presented at the Forum “Connecting cultures-shaping a creative future for Georgia and Europe”

On 6 and 7 May, the Forum “Connecting Cultures-Shaping a Creative Future for Georgia and Europe” was held in Tbilisi, Georgia. Under the auspices of the Georgian Government, the Forum was an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia.

The President, Mrs. Salome Zurabishvili, the Prime Minister, Mr. Mamuka Bakhtadze and the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports, Mr. Mikheil Batiashvili, opened the meeting. The Ambassador of the European Union to Georgia, Mr. Karl Hartzell and other Georgian and European attendants participated in the official opening ceremony.

The Executive Secretary of the EPA on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe Mr. Stefano Dominioni was invited to give a speech within the framework of the Forum to highlight the importance role of Georgia in the Cultural Routes’ programme.
