Cultural Routes presented at the world‘s biggest tourism fair in Berlin

A stand dedicated to the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe crossing Germany was presented at ITB Berlin, the world's biggest tourism trade fair from 6 to 10 March.

The initiative, aiming at promoting the 17 Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe active in Germany, was supported by the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs, founding member State of the Enlarged Partial Agreement on Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe.

The joint stand presentation, a joint information brochure (available online here) as well as a web presence are important steps to intensify cooperation between the Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe in Germany and to improve mutual benefits of joint networking efforts. Meetings with the Association of German UNESCO World Heritage Sites, the German National Tourist Board and various German regional tourist boards took place with a view to establishing important contacts and foster closer cooperation with German tourism organization.
