Description
The Danish Agency for Culture and Palaces (est. 2016) is an agency under the Danish Ministry of Culture (Kulturministeriet). It carries out the cultural policies of the Danish Government in the field of visual and performing arts, music, literature, museums, historical and cultural heritage.
Ancient sites and monuments are protected by the Danish Museum Act which is administered by the Danish Agency for Culture and Palaces: Denmark has about 2500 extant megaliths preserved as listed monuments (www.megalithicroutes.eu/en/members/slots-og-kulturstyrelsen).
