Description
The Abbey of Saint-André-en-Gouffern is a former Cistercian monastery founded in 1131. With the French Revolution, the Abbey was sold as national property and became a stone quarry. Today, there are little remains of the historical complex (www.cister.net/abbayes/fr/119/saint-andre-en-gouffern).
