Description
The Abbey of Notre-Dame de Clairefontaine is a former Cistercian Monastery founded in the 13th century. The Abbey was destroyed during the French Revolution. In the 19th century, the ruined site was bought by the Jesuits who built the country house of their novitiate in Arlon (www.cister.net/abbayes/fr/42/clairefontaine).
