Description
The Abbey of La Bénisson-Dieu is a former Cistercian monastery founded in 1138. During the French Revolution, the Abbey was abandoned and became national property, then it sold as a quarry. The abbatial church becomes, after the restoration, a parish church (www.cister.net/abbayes/fr/87/benisson-dieu).
