30 police officers from the Polícia de Segurança Pública (PSP) investigation services of different Portuguese regions increased their knowledge on investigative interviewing.

Participants benefited from the workshop as it addressed gaps in their professional training as well as revisited some more familiar concepts but with an emphasis on their practical value. Many of the officers acquired these new concepts and practices and embraced it in a very positive manner.

The Inspector Eurico Joao Silva from Inspeção Geral da Administração Interna (IGAI) presented this service and highlighted the Portuguese law protecting the rights of suspects during the judicial procedure.

The Deputy National Director for Human Resources of PSP and the Director of Training Department of PSP attended the opening and closing sessions of the Workshop. They formally expressed the wish to continue such collaboration in the near future.
