On 12 January 2021 San Marino ratified the Council of Europe Convention on the Prevention of Terrorism (CETS No. 196) and its Additional Protocol to (CETS No. 217). The Council of Europe Convention on the Prevention of Terrorism and its Additional Protocol will enter into force concerning San Marino on 1 May 2021. This brings the number of ratifications/accessions to the Convention up to 41 and the number of ratifications/accessions to the Additional Protocol up to 21.
