Preventing conflict of interest among members of parliament in Azerbaijan

A workshop on the prevention of conflict of interest for Members of Parliament takes place on 23 November 2018 in Baku, Azerbaijan. The workshop is organised in cooperation with the Azerbaijani Commission on Combatting Corruption. A Council of Europe expert will present the key findings of the legal review on the Law on Rules of Ethical Conduct of Deputies of the Milli Majlis. Furthermore the expert will present and discuss with participants the guidance paper prepared for this purpose, which highlights examples of conflict of interest situations and other ethical challenges faced by MPs will be the key document for discussion during the workshop. Participants in this event are Deputies of the Milli Majlis and representatives of other relevant departments of the Parliament. The workshop is part of the on-going support to the Azerbaijani Government efforts to strengthen the measures for prevention of conflicts of interest among public officials.
