Back CLEP supports the operationalization of the Assets Recovery Office in Moldova

An on-site visit of a CoE expert was held to support the newly established Assets Recovery Office (ARO) in drafting a comprehensive needs assessment and Standard Operating Procedures. In the framework of the visit, the expert held in-depth discussions with the ARO, the Financial Intelligence Unit, General Prosecutor’s Office, Anti-Corruption Prosecution Office and Prosecution Office for Organized Crime and Special Cases. Meetings were also organized with the judiciary and with the Head of the Seized property Management Department of the State Tax Service. The results of the needs assessment shall facilitate the operationalization of ARO and serve as a planning tool for future actions.
