Within the scope of the Tunisia Anti-Corruption Project (TAC) implemented under the CoE / EU joint intervention "Support Project for Independent Bodies in Tunisia (PAII-T)”, the Council of Europe organised a joint training for the Tunisian Anti-Corruption Authority (INLUCC) on asset declarations and conflicts of interest in Tunis on 7-8 May 2019.
The activity aimed to enhance the capacities of INLUCC to effectively implement the regulatory and institutional mechanisms provided in Tunisia’s new Asset Declaration Law which entered into force on 14 October 2018. Topics covered in the course of the training include the verification of asset and conflict of interest disclosures and administrative investigation methods into unexplained enrichment. A total of 23 participants (16 female and 7 male) representing INLUCC’s Asset Declaration Unit benefitted from this training.
