Training on monitoring election campaign finances in Albania for NGOs and Media organized by the European Union and Council of Europe Horizontal Facility Project “Action against Economic Crime in Albania”.

The aim of this activity is to provide the tools and methodology to NGOs and Media to monitor the election campaign finances and raise their capacities in detecting and reporting irregularities in particular those related to expenditures.

The Training program includes exercises and case scenarios for categories of funding based on the reporting template and its guidance recently developed by the Project.

The training program represents one of the measures targeted at building the capacities of NGOs and Media monitoring election campaign funding and holding political parties accountable.

Through this activity it is expected that NGOs and Media will support the relevant structure within the Central Election Commission to efficiently audit and verify financial reports of political parties.
