Greece

Reservation contained in a Note Verbale from the Permanent Representation of Greece, dated 19 February 2021, deposited simultaneously with the instrument of ratification on 2 March 2021 – Or. Engl.

The Hellenic Republic declares, in accordance with Article 12, paragraphe 3, of the Convention, that it reserves the right to apply the jurisdiction rules laid down in paragraph 1, sub-paragraph d, of Article 12, only in respect of offences committed by one of its nationals abroad under the terms and conditions specified in Article 6 of the Greek Penal Code.

Latvia

Reservation contained in a Note Verbale from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, dated 25 February 2021, deposited simultaneously with the instrument of ratification on 30 April 2021 – Or. Engl.

In accordance with Article 5, paragraph 2, of the Convention, the Republic of Latvia declares that it reserves the right to provide for non-criminal sanctions if the imported cultural object or archive document, document with archival value or copies thereof are not recognised as criminally obtained and their importation has not caused material damage.

Reservation contained in a Note Verbale from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, dated 25 February 2021, deposited simultaneously with the instrument of ratification on 30 April 2021 – Or. Engl.

In accordance with Article 10, paragraph 2, of the Convention, the Republic of Latvia declares that it reserves the right to impose non-criminal sanctions if, due to the destruction, damage or transfer of an archive document, a document with archival value or its replacement copy, as well as the movement of a cultural object, no material damage has been caused, as well as if the cultural object has been destroyed or damaged due to a variety of protection, maintenance, refurbishment, repair or use regulations specifically regulated in the special laws and Cabinet of Ministers regulations.
