Reservation contained in a letter from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom deposited jointly with the instrument of ratification, on 30 June 2010 – Or. Engl., and partially withdrawn in a letter from the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom, dated 10 April 2019, registered at the Secretariat General on 10 May 2019 – Or. Engl.

In accordance with Article 33, paragraph 2, of the Second Additional Protocol, the Government of the United Kingdom declares that it does not accept Article 17 of the Second Additional Protocol (Cross-border observations).

Partial withdrawal of a reservation contained in a letter from the Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom, dated 10 April 2019, registered at the Secretariat General on 10 May 2019 – Or. Engl.

In accordance with Article 33, paragraph 3, of the Second Additional Protocol, the Government of the United Kingdom declares that it partially withdraws its reservation in respect of Article 17 of the said Protocol.

The Government of the United Kingdom accepts the application of paragraph 1 of the said Article and, to the extent they apply to paragraph 1, paragraphs 3 to 5.

The Government of the United Kingdom maintains its reservation in respect of paragraph 2 of the said Article and does not accept the application of that provision.
