Back Submission call for the Emperor Maximilian Prize

The Emperor Maximilian Prize is awarded by the State of Tyrol and the City of Innsbruck to recognise extraordinary projects by individuals, institutions or organisations that generate added value at regional and/or municipal level in Europe.

The Prize is awarded every two years and in 2019, the presentation of the Prize will take place on 8 May.

The prize consists of a certificate, a medal (medallion of Emperor Maximilian I from 1509) and a cash prize in the amount of €10,000. The cash prize is earmarked for the winning project.

Projects must be submitted online via the website’s integrated application platform. from 1 September 2018 to 15 November 2018, in German, French or English.

Particular consideration will be given to projects that make a special contribution to European harmony, European integration as well as peaceful coexistence and cohesion in Europe. There must be a reference to the local and regional level. Submitted projects must provide the potential to work out best practices that can be transferred to other communities and regions.

The Congress of Local and Regional Authorities will be part of the jury together with the Region of the Tyrol, the City of Innsbruck, the University of Innsbruck, the European Committee of the Regions, the Council of European Municipalities and Regions and the Assembly of European Regions.

Mediabox

MediaBox is a mobile studio of multimedia resources allowing live radio interviews and video recordings for the web. Congress members can offer this tool to their press contacts who will have access free of charge to all the facilities on offer. Journalists can also use it directly for the coverage of the Congress Session.
