Back Ukrainian Mayors gathered in Vinnytsya to discuss ways to lead the change at the local level

20 Mayors of towns, cities and villages from four regions of Ukraine gathered on 2-3 March in Vinnytsya confronted their experience on opportunities and challenges that they are facing in Ukraine at the occasion of the workshop “Mayors leaders for change”, organised by the Congress within the project “Promoting local democracy in Ukraine”. The workshop was opened by Serhiy Morgunov (Ukraine, NR), Mayor of Vinnytsya and Member of Congress, Nataliya Romanova (Ukraine, ILDG), Vice President of the Congress and Andreas Kiefer Secretary General of the Congress. “Local democracy and quality of services available in the community are very much connected to the capacity of local authorities to prioritize, gather teams and implement initiatives that target inclusively various members of the community. Therefore we at the Congress pay great attention to supporting mayors and providing platform for peer-to-peer learning and sharing of experiences.” said Andreas Kiefer.
