In the framework of the World Forum for Democracy, the Congress of local and regional authorities organised a webinar titled “Let’s talk local: cities and citizens in the fight against climate change” which presented successful local and regional initiatives for sustainability and green transition, highlighting projects with strong citizen participation. The workshop provided an opportunity to exchange good practices and brainstorm about new opportunities for addressing the climate emergency and solving the concrete problems of citizens and businesses related to environmental, social, and economic consequences of the climate crisis at local and regional level. The round table was opened by the Congress President Leendert Verbeek and the Mayor of Strasbourg Jeanne Barseghian.
