The members of the Governance Committee of the Congress met in Strasbourg on Tuesday 20 October 2015, during the 29th Congress Session. They elected a new Chair: Marie-Madeleine Mialot Muller (France, SOC), Vice-President of the Centre regional council. 'I am very proud to have been elected and I would like to reiterate my keen interest in the Governance Committee, which, for me, is a key component of democracy', she stated. Philippe Leuba (Switzerland, ILDG), Vaud Canton state councillor, has also bein elected as 5th vice-chair. At the opening of the meeting, The Secretary General of the Congress, Andreas Kiefer, addressed the committee members and asked for their input in drawing up the priorities for the Congress for the next four years. He also emphasised the cooperation activities of the Congress, pointing out that its work did not stop at adopting reports.
