At their 1359^th meeting on 5 November, the Ministers Deputies took note of a new set of Guidelines aimed at assisting Council of Europe member States in improving the recruitment, education, training and professional development of prison and probation staff [more information ….].

The Deputies also approved an Action Plan designed to provide assistance to Georgia for the period 2020-2023. This strategic programming instrument aims to bring Georgia’s legislation, institutions and practice further into line with European standards in the areas of human rights, the rule of law and democracy.
