Back Meeting of the Ministers' Deputies on 19-21 November 2019

The Ministers’ Deputies adopted the Organisation’s Programme and budget for 2020-2021, at their 1361st meeting, on 19-21 November. The budget, totalling €254 844 600* (Ordinary Budget only) for 2020, has been adopted on the basis of zero real growth and includes decisions that provide a positive direction for future work in terms of longer-term strategic vision and financial sustainability. As in previous years, the Programme and budget is organised around the three pillars of democracy, human rights and the rule of law.

At the same meeting, the Deputies also adopted:

  • a recommendation to member States to develop and promote digital citizenship education;
  • resolutions on the renewal of the diploma awarded to the Desertas Nature Reserve (Portugal), the Cretan White Mountains National Park, Samaria (Greece), the Teberda National Biosphere Reserve (Russian Federation), the Oka National Biosphere Reserve (Russian Federation) and the Naardermeer Nature Reserve (Netherlands).

The other items examined by the Deputies appear in the Agenda and the decisions adopted are available in the meeting file.
