At the start of the meeting, the Chairman expressed the Committee’s condolences and solidarity after the terrorist attack in Trèbes (France) and the fire in Kemerovo (Russian Federation). The Committee then observed a minute’s silence in memory of the victims.

The Deputies held an exchange of views with Ms Siobhán Mullally, President of the Group of Experts on Action against Trafficking in Human Beings (GRETA), following her presentation of GRETA's 7th general activity report.

They also adopted recommendations of the Committee of Ministers to member States on:

•  children with imprisoned parents (more information);
•  terrorists acting alone (more information);
• the application of the European Charter for Regional or Minority Languages by Austria, Cyprus and Romania.
