Mircea Surdu, journalist, Director of "Telefilm-Chișinău": “I believe that, in the field of mass-media legislation, the Council of Europe played a very important role in the Republic of Moldova. The Council of Europe, from my perspective, will always remain the vigilant eye, supervising that the Republic of Moldova respects the human rights, the freedom of speech and other issues that are statutory for a modern human being. Twenty-five years is a long time, and in the same time it is a short time. Of course, we, as beneficiaries of the Council of Europe's projects, are well aware of the presence of the Council of Europe, but I hope that shortly we will become better students and that we will learn the important standards adopted by Europe”.
