The Audiovisual Media Services Code of the Republic of Moldova has now an exhaustive explanatory commentary published this year, which aims to offer a better understanding of the national audiovisual legislation, as a pre-condition for its proper implementation.
Thus, the authors of the Commentary, Ion Bunduchi, Vasile State, Alexandru Dorogan, Eugeniu Ribca and Jean-François Furnémont highlight: „The audiovisual law is complex because it targets and aims to regulate an intricate field. Some articles and principles can be directly understood from the AMSC text, others, however, need additional research with the help of national and international legislation. The understanding of the audiovisual legislation remains crucial because only a proper implementation of the law can bring us closer to the aim of its development in the first place.”
The Commentary of the AMSC is helpful to all subjects regulated by the AMSC, but also to everyone who is interested in the audiovisual field. The explanatory Commentary, which can be accessed online, details on every article, also by including examples and relevant EU practices.
The explanatory Commentary of the Audiovisual Media Services Code has been developed by Council of Europe project „Promoting European standards in the audio-visual regulation of the Republic of Moldova.”
