During the month of October 2021, the project team held bilateral consultations with key stakeholders of the Finnish Barnahus: Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Social Affairs and Health, and 4 Barnahus-Units in the country.

The discussions served to assess the legal and policy gaps in ensuring child-friendly justice, effective interagency coordination and information sharing in child abuse cases, training needs and capacity building of professionals working with and for children, and existing child participation and child consultation practices in the country. These meetings will contribute to fine-tuning the project overall workplan and better planning the next steps and activities

On 29 October 2021, a general working consultation meeting with all staff from the 5 Barnahus-Units in Finland will take place to share the information gathered during the bilateral meetings and stimulate discussion.
