Register now: Webinar on Educational measures to prevent risks associated with child self-generated sexual images/videos

Every year the Council of Europe marks the European Day on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse (18 November) with the aim to promote, raise awareness and open discussions on various challenges that need to be overcome to protect and prevent sexual violence against children. Since this year’s edition of the European Day focuses on “Preventing risky behaviour by children: child self-generated sexual images and/or videos”, the Children’s Rights Division organises a webinar on Educational measures to prevent risks associated with child self-generated sexual images/videos. You may register now to the webinar which will be held on 12 November (2.00pm-4.30pm CET) under the Greek Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe. The event will bring together high-level speakers and experts to discuss the risks associated with child self-generated sexual images/videos and ways for efficiently tackling these risks through comprehensive sex education. Ms Dunja Mijatović, Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights and Ms Christel De Craim, Chairperson of the Lanzarote Committee, will be among keynote speakers.
