Call for applications: Handbook on child-friendly information for children in migration

The Council of Europe has launched a restricted consultation procedure to form a working group of 5 experts to draft a Handbook on child-friendly information for children in migration. This Handbook is part of the Council of Europe Action plan on protecting refugee and migrant children (2017-2019).

Child-friendly information is understood as including any method of communication that is adapted to the age and maturity of the child, given in a language which they can understand and which is gender and culture sensitive.

The Handbook is aimed at equipping States and relevant stakeholders to provide child-friendly and appropriate information to children in migration about access to rights and relevant procedures.

The Handbook will build on the findings of the roundtable on child-friendly information for children in migration which took place in Strasbourg on 29-30 November 2017 and the examples of good and promising practice received following an open call for examples held in December 2017.

The working groups and drafting will take place in English, please see the terms of reference for more information.
