The Ad hoc Committee for the Rights of the Child (CAHENF) will hold its 5th meeting in Strasbourg from 16 to 18 October 2018, with Mme Maria-Andriani Kostopoulou (Greece) in the chair. Discussions shall notably cover: the finalisation of the draft guidelines on guardianship for unaccompanied and separated children in migration; the ongoing work towards draft guidelines on age assessment; the implementation of guidelines on children’s rights in the digital environment, and further promotion of child participation through the child participation assessment tool (CPAT). The Committee shall also look into the upcoming Mid-term evaluation of the Strategy and the organisation of the relevant High-level event.

A substantial thematic exchange will be held on children’s rights, mental health and child-friendly healthcare with the participation of experts from the WHO, the ENOC and Mental Health Services in Ireland.
