Back 21st meeting of the Lanzarote Committee

The 21st meeting of the Lanzarote Committee (Committee of the Parties to the Council of Europe’s Convention on the Protection of Children against Sexual Exploitation and Sexual Abuse – Lanzarote Convention), taking place from 20 to 22 June 2018, will bring together representatives of the 43 States Parties to the Lanzarote Convention as well as representatives of civil society and other stakeholders.

The Committee will in particular exchange views on follow-up given by States Parties to the Lanzarote Convention to the recommendations contained in its Special Report on "Protecting children affected by the refugee crisis from sexual exploitation and sexual abuse".

In addition to exchanging information and promising practices in the field of protecting children against sexual exploitation and abuse, the Committee will also start exchanging views on observations prepared by rapporteurs on four questions of its thematic questionnaire, in the context of its 2nd monitoring round on "The protection of children against sexual exploitation and sexual abuse facilitated by information and communication technologies (ICTs)".
