The European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice (CEPEJ) and the Presidency of the Public Prosecutor's Office are organising, on 11 and 12 February in Fez and Casablanca, a training course for about a hundred Moroccan Heads of public prosecution and officials of the Presidency of the Moroccan Public Prosecutor's Office on the organisation and management of public prosecution services. This training is supported by the Programme "Ensuring sustainable democratic governance and human rights in the Southern Mediterranean" (South Programme III), funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.

The Secretariat of the CEPEJ, accompanied by international experts from the CEPEJ and the Consultative Council of European Prosecutors (CCPE), will travel to Fez and Casablanca on 11 and 12 February 2020, where two training sessions will be organised on the organisation and modern methods of management of public prosecutor's offices. The Secretariat of the Council of Europe's Group of State against Corruption (GRECO) will also provide an intervention during these days. These training sessions will focus on three main topics, namely the role of heads of public prosecutor's offices in the organisation of a public prosecutor's office, modern methods of management of public prosecutor's offices and, finally, the challenges of good communication.

An inaugural session will be held on the first day in the presence of Ms Oufroukhi, Director of the Specialised Pole and international cooperation of the Public Prosector's Office, representing the King's Prosecutor General at the Court of Cassation, Mr Abdennabaoui, in his capacity as President of the Public Prosecutor's Office, of Mr Ingledow, Head of the Council of Europe Office in Morocco, and Mr Strohal, Head of the Governance Section of the Delegation of the European Union, representing Mrs Wiedey, Ambassador of the European Union in Morocco.
