The CEPEJ provides institutional support to the Tunisian High Judicial Council ( Conseil Supérieur de la Magistrature- CSM)

As part of the technical assistance provided to the CSM to consolidate the governance of the judicial power, the CEPEJ organised on 28 June 2019 in Paris, a peer working meeting devoted to the preparation of the institution's annual report.

This first meeting was an opportunity to answer the questions of the representatives of the CSM, to provide elements of answers on methodological and practical questions on the basis of relevant European experiences and to exchange good practices and information for the continuation of the drafting process.

The preparation of this annual report is one of the statutory obligations mentioned in Organic Law No. 2916-34 of 28 April 2016 on the CSM.

This activity was organised within the framework of the Joint Programme "Improving the functioning, performance and access to justice in Tunisia", funded by the European Union and the Council of Europe and implemented by the Council of Europe.
