Meeting of the Working Group on Evaluation of Judicial Systems

The meeting of the Working Group on the evaluation of European judicial systems (CEPEJ-GT-EVAL) in Strasbourg took place on 15 and 17 May to prepare the next edition of the report "European judicial systems - Efficiency and quality of justice". The meeting of the CEPEJ national correspondents, responsible for completing the evaluation grid, took place on 16 May 2018.

On this occasion, members of the CEPEJ-GT-EVAL and national correspondents examined the tables and graphical representations of the collected data  from the 48 Member States and observers participating in this evaluation cycle (2016 data). They also examined the first analyses for each of the topics of the future report: budgets of the judicial systems, judicial staff and lawyers, gender equality, organisation of courts, court users, efficiency and quality of the activity of courts and of public prosecution services.

The evaluation report will be published on 4 October 2018. A press conference will be held in the premises of the Council of Europe in Paris at 11 am and will be broadcast live on the CEPEJ website.
