The CEPEJ Working Group on evaluation of judicial systems (CEPEJ-GT-EVAL) held its 47th meeting in Strasbourg on 17 and 18 October 2024.
During this meeting, the Working Group reviewed and assessed the 2024 evaluation cycle and the publication on 16 October of the Evaluation Report on European Judicial Systems, 2024 edition.
The Group also begun preparations for the next evaluation cycle, 2026, and examined the modalities of a possible reform of the current process aimed at harmonising the various existing evaluation cycles (biannual data collection and regional data collections). It also considered the development of new indicators relating to quality and the impact of information and communication technologies (ICTs) on efficiency.
Co-operation with the European Commission developed within the framework of the CEPEJ's evaluation activities (EU Justice Scoreboards, Dashboard for the Western Balkans, and Justice Dashboard for the Eastern Partnership countries) was also on the agenda of this meeting.
Finally, the issue of work-life balance in the judicial sector was addressed, a theme common to the various CEPEJ Working Groups.
