The Steering Committee for Culture, Heritage and Landscape (CDCPP) held its 8th Plenary meeting in Strasbourg from 12 to 14 June 2019, in the Palais de l’Europe.
Participants from among the fifty States signatory to the European Cultural Convention discussed the three main areas of the CDCPP’s work and their contribution to democracy.
A thematic session was planned on climate change and sustainable development as related to human rights and democracy, and specifically, in the context of culture/heritage/landscape resources.
The Committee also heared progress reports on ongoing activities and discuss possible new initiatives.
The “Golden collection” of good practices related to Strategy 21 was presented on 13 June under the auspices of the French Chairmanship of the Committee of Ministers (May to November 2019). A Round table and a Reception hosted by the French Chairmanship took place later in the day.
