On 7-9 September 2015 a needs assessment mission was organised with the participation of 2 international experts and one national consultant. The aim of the mission was the evaluation of the functioning of mediation in criminal matters in Kazakhstan with the further development of corresponding recommendations in line with international standards. During the mission the experts had the opportunity to meet the main state institutions and civil society representatives working on mediation. The final legal expertise is to be completed by the end of January 2016.
