A workshop to support the revision of the Code of Ethics for Public Bailiffs was organised in co-operation between the Chamber of Public Bailiffs of Montenegro and the Action “Accountability and Professionalism of the Judicial System in Montenegro” which is implemented under the European Union and the Council of Europe programmatic framework “Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey 2019-2022”.

On 18 and 19 September 2019, members of the working group for the revision of the Code of Ethics supported by the international consultant of the Council of Europe, defined the goals and standards to be achieved by the new Code and the challenges to be addressed. The activity focused on the revision of the specific provisions of the Code by incorporating collected knowledge, experience and ideas.

The aim of this co-operation is to introduce Amendments to the Code of Ethic for Public Bailiffs in Montenegro, to bring it in line with European practice and standards, which should be adopted by the end of November 2019. The implementation of a revised code shall enhance professionalism of the public enforcement officers in Montenegro.
