Raffaele Sabato elected judge to the European Court of Human Rights in respect of Italy

The Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) elected Raffaele Sabato as judge to the European Court of Human Rights in respect of Italy on 22 January 2019, at its plenary session.
Mr Sabato has been a member of the CCJE for Italy since 2000.

Mr Sabato’s term of office of nine years in the European Court of Human Rights will commence as from 4 May 2019.

The CCJE members and its Secretariat thank Mr Sabato for his commitment during almost two decades and congratulate him for this election.
